Working note5 minRules that end accounts

Time limits and inactivity are different clocks

One says you must finish by a date. The other says you must not disappear. ‘No time limit’ does not mean you can vanish for a quarter.

A maximum duration ends the evaluation on a calendar date whether or not you are in profit. An inactivity rule ends it after a stretch without a qualifying trade. Firms advertise ‘no time limit’ and still close accounts that go quiet. Both clocks should be on the record, and a missing one is unknown.

The FTMO objectives capture did not state a time limit. That is filed as not stated, which is weaker than a promise of unlimited time, and stronger than inventing a 30-day cap from another firm. The demonstration Northline schedule does state a 30-day inactivity line, so you can see the shape. It is not a live firm’s clause.
