Weekend and overnight holding
Why “not mentioned” is not “allowed”, and why a FAQ can lose to the terms.
Some programmes require every position to be closed before the weekend. Some allow the hold. Some allow it only when a condition is true, such as no floating loss at Friday’s close. Overnight, meaning through the weekday roll, is a separate clause and often a different answer.

A condition is not a soft yes
Atlas, in the demonstration set, allows a weekend hold only if the position is not in floating loss at Friday’s close. A trader who wants to hold a drawdown through the weekend is outside that clause. A trader who can flatten or who is in profit may be inside it. The record stays conditional so the matcher does not award a clean pass to someone who did not say they can meet the test.
When two company texts disagree
Sable’s Three-Step 100k demonstration terms say a position open at the weekend is a breach. The FAQ says you can hold trades over the weekend on every Sable programme. Both are company documents. This desk stores both passages, marks an unresolved conflict, and does not pick the FAQ because it is kinder. Until the firm withdraws one text, the working assumption for a person who must hold is: you cannot rely on this programme.
Futures are often ‘not applicable’
A session that flattens before a daily halt has no weekend position to hold. Harborpath’s reviewed calendars are treated that way. That is not permission to hold a forex pair over a weekend at the same firm, and it is not a moral judgement that futures rules are looser. It is a different market structure. Read the futures guide before you compare a Harborpath card with a Northline card on the holding row alone.
