Futures challenges are a different session

Flattening, data fees, and a trailing dollar distance. Do not score them on forex rows.

A futures evaluation and a forex evaluation can share a checkout aesthetic and share nothing else. The session ends. The contract is denominated in ticks. The data feed is often a separate bill. Holding ‘over the weekend’ may be not applicable because the template already flattens you.

What to compare instead

  • The trail: intraday high-water, or an end-of-day lock. Harborpath publishes both, as different programmes.
  • Whether the distance is a percent of the nominal balance or a dollar amount that does not scale when you change size.
  • The session template and the timezone. A 16:00 US Central flatten is a rule, not a preference.
  • The data or platform fee after the evaluation. Harborpath’s demonstration text prices USD 49 a month outside the initial fee.
  • Whether a daily loss percent exists at all. ‘No separate daily percentage; the trail is the limit’ is a complete answer.

Dollar distance versus percent

Harborpath’s One-Step 150k trails by USD 4,500. That happens to be 3% of 150,000. The One-Step 50k in the older demonstration record is not ‘the same 3%’. The schedule states a distance per version. Scaling the dollar figure in your head, or scaling the percent, will mis-state the floor. The source card is the figure. The arithmetic you did on a serviette is not.

Why residence is so often blank

Several Harborpath records have no residence clause in the text we reviewed. Traders read that as ‘open to everyone’. The desk reads it as not found. Futures merchants and their payment paths are some of the more restricted onboards in this industry. An absent sentence is a poor reason to assume you will be accepted.
