Best-day rules, with the arithmetic written out
50% of total profit, 50% of positive days, and 55% of the target are three different tests.
A consistency rule stops one lucky day from being the whole pass. The denominator is the entire argument. Get it wrong and you either fail a rule you thought you had cleared, or you refuse a trade the contract allowed.
Three denominators
- Wording
- Best day ≤ 50% of total profit
- Where it was printed
- FTMO, accounts from 12 Oct 2026
- What a 2,000 dollar day means
- You need at least 4,000 of total profit before that day is inside the cap. Losing days sit in the denominator.
