Drawdown words, one screen

Static, trailing, end-of-day, intraday, lock, equity, balance. The short definitions used on this desk.

  • Word
    Static
    Filed as
The floor is a fixed distance from the start. Profit does not lift it.
  • Word
    Trailing, end of day
    Filed as
The floor can rise when the day closes, not while the trade is open.
  • Word
    Trailing, intraday
    Filed as
The floor can rise while the trade is open.
  • Word
    Balance-based
    Filed as
The trail follows closed profit, not floating profit. Still read the daily rule.
  • Word
    Lock
    Filed as
The trail stops at a stated balance and becomes static.
  • Word
    Daily loss
    Filed as
A separate test. It might end the account or only the session.
  • Word
    Maximum loss
    Filed as
The account-ending floor, unless the page gives that job to a different line.
If a firm uses the word differently, the firm’s sentence wins. These are the meanings this desk files under.
